From the recovery of democracy to the present, 3,200 women have died in the Argentine Republic due to an abortion carried out in conditions of insecurity and secrecy. Just in 2018, 2,350 girls under the age of 15 were forced to gestate and give birth. It is estimated that 38,000 women are hospitalized each year (only considering public health management) as a result of the insecurity of the practice. It is estimated that in Argentina between 370,000 and 500,000 abortions are performed per year.

After a tireless and exemplary struggle, the feminist movement, of women, lesbians, transvestites, trans and non-binaries, conquered the right to voluntary abortion in Argentina until the 14th week of pregnancy.

The color green became a color of political definition known to everyone. This is how phenomena such as "The Daughters Revolution" and the powerful "Green Tide" arose.

The hashtag #AbortoLegal2020 became a reality, the empowerment of women advances steadily and this conquest of the Argentines is seen as a beacon for access to the right, to health, to personal autonomy and freedom of women throughout Latin America.

Here are the final words that from the Campaign addressed to the crowd after the approval:

“In these years, we were thousands, millions, who walked the Congress square and all the squares among the country. We embrace this cause for our mothers, for our daughters, for those who died or suffered injuries as a result of an inequality that today, once and for all, we leave behind. We know of no other way to achieve what we want other than organized and shared struggle. And there we will be, in every corner of the country, making the law that we have just conquered a reality where there is no longer a place for discrimination and discipline. We said it thousands of times and we will repeat it thousands of times more:

“Sex education to decide, contraceptives to avoid abortion and legal abortion so as not to die! "
